With the end of 2020 fast approaching, we’ve all had our heads down, working hard to finalise some significant projects we’ve had on the back burner throughout the year.

We are excited to share with you the following releases and updates, so without furth ado, read on to find out what’s new for Coherent for November.

What’s New with Coherent?

Files page in CRM

We’ve added a new page into the CRM to help with document management – you can now upload files against any of your members. Upload contracts, lease agreements or any other documents you want to store allowing you to keep everything in one place for easy access whenever you need.

Redesigned invitation pages

The ‘accept invitation’ pages for Operators and Hosts have received a fresh lick of paint. Their design is now more in-line with the rest of the app, much easier to use and is also more white-labelled, allowing you to add your own personal touch to it. New Hosts will now have a better experience when joining your team.

Removed mandate creation from member onboarding

Creating a direct debit mandate is no longer a required step when a new member signs up. This update means signing up to your workspace couldn’t be easier, as members who aren’t able to pay by direct debit can still sign up without any assistance. Members that don’t create a mandate in the onboarding will receive a reminder that they should make one before any of their invoices are due.

Improvements to Visitor sign-in

To help with track & trace requirements, we’ve made the phone number field compulsory, so all visitors will need to provide their phone number when signing in. We’ve also improved how we handle historic visitors data. Visitor information from over 90 days ago, that has been anonymised under GDPR, will now be hidden from your Past Visitors view.

What’s New in Coherent

Each time you log in to Coherent, if there’s been a new feature release since your last login, we’ll notify you about that. This way, you will be up to date and able to start using our new features straight away, instantly improving your Coherent experience. We’ve also added a permanent ‘What’s New’ page into the menu where you can see a full history of all of our feature releases, keeping you in the Coherent loop at all times.

Improvements to manual charges

We’ve improved the UI for adding one-off and recurring charges to invoices, and also made it possible to add one-off charges directly to pending, queried, and failed invoices. You no longer need to cancel an invoice to add a charge to it. Say hello to easy invoicing!

What’s On the Horizon?

  • Stripe integration – We’re adding Stripe as an additional payment gateway alongside GoCardless. You’ll be able to take card payments from PAYG bookings or members whose banks don’t support direct debit.

  • Membership Deposits – You’ll soon be able to add deposits to your monthly tariffs that will be automatically collected when new members sign up.

  • Notes in CRM – Add notes to your members’ profiles and add deadlines to be reminded when you need to take action. Another way to keep organised and on top your workspace admin!
